When: Whenever suits you!
Description: This historical walking tour takes you in about 2,5 - 3 hours through the oldest part of Amsterdam. We will start at the very beginning at the IJ river and walk through the historical center. During the tour you will get to understand how this remarkable city shaped itself into the colorful and lively city it is today. We will walk through the red light district and follow the old dike to De Waag (the Wage). From there we will arrive slowly into the former Jewish district and that is where Rembrandt comes in... Try to imagine the rich and famous of Amsterdam in the Golden Age and get to know about Amsterdam’s biggest enterprise ever: The VOC. Passing the University Area we will walk to the Dam Square, with the New Church, the Royal Palace and War Memorial. This is where our trip will end.
Museums and bars/restaurants are closed. However, coffee-to-go is widely available, so no worries about that!
